"However ruined this world has become, however mired in torment and despair, life endures. Births continue. There is beauty in that, is there not?" — Melina
It's not a film for everyone, but I also think that's what makes it great. Definitely go give it a watch if you haven't already

Thematically, I think they're similar as well. I think Bloodborne and Nosferatu both contain feminine struggles at their core. It's something that I struggle to put words to, but @jstoobs.bsky.social wrote a really compelling review of Nosferatu that I recommend

Vampires & their long connection to feminine identity. Nosferatu is a feminist film in every way & I ♥️ it so much #film #womeninfilm #nosferatu

To conclude, the American two-party system sucks

The Ringed City DLC goes on to show that eventually, this binary system goes on, and on,until nothing is left but dust and ash. We have to paint a new world, a new option, in order to escape this cycle. One made not from the rich and powerful, but one with the soul of humanity at its center.

DS2 shows this, and says that we can either choose to uphold this system or reject it. To go beyond Light and Dark. An unknown path.

DS3 elaborates on these themes further by showing what such a system ultimately brings, a tired still dying world, where even heroes past no longer want to save
it.

This isn't to say the Age of Dark is good, but we will never know for sure because Gwyn's linking of the fire means we will never know a true Age of Dark. Eventually the Age of Fire will come again, each time a lesser version of itself. A false binary choice that ultimately leads to the same place
