I don't even understand this...so, he's going to give us $20k to go buy insurance...but the money WON'T go to insurance companies??? He's sooooooo close to just calling for Medicare for all and if that's what he's saying, sure, call it Trumpcare...who gives a fuck!

Are you fucking kidding me? Polio was a scourge! Thousands of people in iron lungs or dead. Millions affected for years. We have made HUGE strides in cancer treatment and diagnosis and cures in the last 20 years. FFS...Yeah life was simpler, but that doesn't equate to universally better

It's no coincidence that the 8 who voted yes are either retiring or not up for election in '26. Pretty sure he's right that some others were on board, but didn't have to go on record. We aren't naive as to how this works.

I'm saying that it's up to us. We're on our own, here:) More people will need to pay closer attention in their states. I know,, pie in the sky maybe, but that's the direction we're headed. I never said I had all of the answers. I'm just pointing out the obvious.

I was watching this and I was hoping that Lemire would ask him, "Please explain a swap line for the 99.9% of us who have no clue what you're talking about" Next question after he said that the US made money: "Is that money back in the US Treasury? Is that a realized profit or just one on paper?"

If the government is going to 'give us money' for health insurance, how about the government just finally goes all in on Medicare for all. FFS...the solution is staring him/us in the face!

This illustrates that DC has failed us and we have to understand that the power center is shifting to states. Learn this lesson. Pay attention to your state and local issues, races, elections. As the federal govt shrinks states will pick up the slack.
