I don't understand the excitement and support for sports gambling. These companies only exist to steal your money. Much like billionaires, DraftKings and all these other companies aren't your friends. Earl Weaver had it right.

In a departure from my normal swearing about sports or the downfall of humanity I occasionally try my hand at cooking hearty German food. Roast pork with brown beer sauce, potato dumplings, and honey roasted root vegetables.

I didn't realize it was Smoked Beer Preservation Day (thanks for the heads up @dcbeer.com). A quick beer run fixed that problem and I've got a reminder in place for next year. Even better I already made Bavarian pork with dark beer sauce and potato salad for dinner. @rockinredbirdie.bsky.social

May not be a celebratory holiday this year but any excuse (or no excuse) is good enough reason to fire up the grill. Some Baltimore Pit Beef really hit the spot today.

The "fuck everyone else I'm more important" level of a Chic-fil-a customer is unmatched. Typical drivethru backups into traffic caused a fatal accident recently. Now since everyone ignored the No Left Turn signs they had to put up cones. I just saw someone go around them to avoid the inconvenience.
