Lightning over Tampa Bay. Taken in 2013 from the Courtney Campbell Causeway. This is my first post on Flashes and I’m curious to see how it compresses images. Hoping for the best because it would be great to get rid of meta!

Some astrophotography images I captured last weekend from near Ft. DeSoto Park at the mouth of Tampa Bay. The park is still closed from the damage it received by hurricanes Helene and Milton. Pics are of the Andromeda Galaxy (M31), Orion (M42) / Horsehead / Flame Nebulae, and the Pleiades (M45)

Curious to see if bluesky compresses the crap out of photos like instagram does. Posting a few pics I’ve taken somewhat recently in order to test it out. Looking for an alternative to meta’s garbage sites
