It’s possible :)) The garden spiders are huge. I think Joros are in Florida .. not sure about Texas. They are spreading! The webs are super cool. Thick. The Joro is a really thick yellow web. The males are small and parachute around looking for mates. The video is a female.

They’re impressive! I’m not sure of their full range but I think the US epicenter was North GA. Not clear if they are out-competing Yellow Garden Spiders or other native Orb Weavers

Ha, yep, “invasive” :)). They spread outwards from Atlanta , probably from foreign cargo. I usually see them in late summer/fall through 1st frost. They are everywhere!

We have family in Mesa, Scottsdale, and Tucson. Love it out there. I’m ASU alumni as well. Go devils :)) used to have family in Sedona which is probably top 5 prettiest places on earth

Yes, and you were even talking about butterflies and I still said moth 🤦🏼♂️. Moths on the brain. Yes, it was moth week! Butterfly Wonderland in Phoenix is super special too.
