A tiny trumpet voluntary... for Floss & the Bandits! New MG book out on 5th January. Third in series of a dog and his people, set in a mountain village in today's Transylvania. No toothy aristocrats - kids, birds, cats, dogs and adventures.

Update on the beautiful Mica... It's nearly five months since she moved in. Sad to report that she still hates George and Buster, and it's mutual. So I have a house divided. Any ideas re negotiating peace to bring the household together? I'd be so grateful.

Two months ago, this magnificent creature moved in. Mica, 5-year old beauty who arrived after life in a city apartment. Now she has all of the Carpathian Mountains to play in as a Transylvanian queen. She joins 14-yr residents George, Mouse and Buster with occasional visits from Genghis and Hobbs.

My tender balcony plants will have to come in tonight, just in case. Forecast is zero or -1C and snowing from 9pm through the night. End of their summer holiday... But October in Transylvania can be gloriously sunny & warm so we'll see once the snow's gone.
