It's perfectly legal to lie in a political ad in Australia.
Companies can't lie about their products, so why can parties lie about their opponent's policies - or their own?
Australia needs national truth in political advertising laws.

After leaving Naziville on Monday, I’ve been familiarising myself to the new territory of Bluesky and I cannot say that I’m disappointed with the move.
I look forward to being on a plate in that isn’t owned by an absolute pelican.
