I created a desmos function to display how this looks. The total is 3500 and the sample size is 1800.
At one go around, the chance that something isn't picked up is 0.486, or around 48.6%.
At 2, it's 0.236, or 23.6%
At 5, it's 0.027, or 2.7%
At 10, it's 0.00073, or 0.07%

However, there is a version of Reddit called "old_reddit" that has a more functional layout. It wasn't as fancy, but the point was the old layout was simpler to the point people preserved it after all this time.
Side note, this hot page has really gone downhill since the exodus.

I had a realization that I had a similar problem when wanting to make a list of all the subreddits I followed a while ago. Like Twitter's current API, it was weird and corporate and you couldn't just easily copy someone's username off it. Needless to say I hated it.
