And I think when you blame people for the things they didn't do, instead of the things they did, it weakens your argument needlessly, and it alienates potential allies because it shows you don't care what's true.

This weakens us as a nation, full stop. There is no exchange for some perceived benefit. No justification was given by the administration other than some vague words about concern for American finances. This makes no sense, if you're trying to protect this country.

Bernie never pushed for Roe either, though, and quite frankly the whole of the political left was quiet on Roe for years. I know there were voices pushing for action, but they were an ignored minority.
