Incredibly specific size comparison

Really enjoying this. It combines two of my favorite things, languages and prehistory. I got the audiobook version to better hear how words in different languages link to each other and the ancient common ancestor they share. Definitely buying linguistics books in that format from now on. #booksky

This is such a fun read. A collection of offbeat, creepy short stories centered around old shopping malls. Highly recommend for anyone who grew up hanging around malls or who has an interest in those times.

This was such a fun, short read at just 62 pages. A university researcher and a vampire are forced into a marriage through inheritence laws, and they have to work to uncover who's really behind it all. Well worth the $3 and couple hours I spent on it.

Thanks for reminding me, Duo.

The writing style improved from the first book in the series, but the pacing and dialogue weren't as good. Parts of it felt rambling and repetitive, and there were some plot points that either got resolved poorly or not at all. But it was worth reading to find out what happened to the characters.

This short story collection just arrived from @frombeyondpress.bsky.social and I can't wait to start reading. I feel like this will help fill the hole in my heart I've had since my local mall closed down.

Since I've appreciated warnings from others about creeps to block on here, here's someone to watch out for. Besides the fact that he openly says he's a troll, he left weird sexual replies under posts.

I really wanted to like this book but the writing style didn't click with me. It felt like amatuer fanfiction. But the plot and themes are timely, and I loved the unique and inclusive characters. Kane is hilarious and it's worth reading this simply to meet her. 2.5/5 stars.
