Imo WotC is doubling down on monetizing D&D. After the OGL fiasco, it seems they're trying to protect their bottom line at all costs—even if it’s a bad move.

I am expecting that once their VTT comes out, we'll see a bunch of microtransactions for custom mini add-ons, too.
