EIC of Procedurally Generated. Eight kids, four dogs. I play video games, eat tacos and read a lot.
I didn't realize until now that the ancient Maya apparently had Bluetooth technology.

Mega Man IV has been completed and I started Mega Man V right after. That game is so insanely easy compared to the rest of the series and the drop rate for 1-ups is ridiculous.

My ranking of the games I've finished so far would be:

MM 9
MM 2
MM 10
MM 3
MM 4
MM 1

I want to see sports games go back to art styles like this and focus less on the hyper-realistic look.

Well, my plan to play Final Fantasy Tactics Advance somehow turned into me playing Chrono Trigger DS. Not sure how that happened.

Walked out last night to get something out of my car and was greeted by this little guy. I didn't have my glasses on at first so wasn't 100% sure what it was as its stripes don't go down its back. Stayed out and watched him explore the yard for a few minutes.

I think Windows Phone UI may have been the best in the business. It was perfectly minimalistic while still giving you plenty of customization options. This is using Launcher 10 on my phone. It's not perfect if you use a foldable, but I've always loved this design.

My boss went to Universal Studios last week and came back with a little present for me.

I've taken tons of typing tests to see how fast I type (which is around 95 wpm), but I've never done it to see how fast I read. Now I know.

Screenshot Daily: What is the name of the combat system that made its first appearance in Final Fantasy IV and was used through Final Fantasy IX?

I think at this point the only thing I'm missing, aside from re-releases and bundles, are the two DS games and I'll have the full series physically. #AssassinsCreed

You know a historical video on YouTube is accurate when the subject is a Civil War battle in Arkansas and they show WWII-era artillery. Pretty sure the Confederate army didn't have Pak 38s.

It also mentions Jeff Davis' home state as Missouri, which is wildly inaccurate.

After fiddling with a config file to map a couple buttons on the controller the Pi64 is up and running. It plays very nicely. Pi5 with 4GB of RAM overclocked just slightly and N64 games run brilliantly on it. I'll try to get some video of it running tomorrow.

The controller for my project came in so I can get to work on this. Going to possibly leave this as a dedicated N64. It can sit on the shelf next to the NES.

Going to take a break from Castlevania for just a bit and jump into another series I've never played. Break up the gameplay just a little bit and keep myself from burning out on Castlevania. I'll get to Aria of Sorrow as soon as I finish this game.

Credits have rolled on Harmony of Dissonance. Overall I really enjoyed this game. I thought it was miles better than Circle. Finished in 6:37 with 193.3% map completion. I got what is considered the good ending. I would play this one again. Looking forward to Aria next.

Just one new pickup today. I didn't even realize they had made a physical release for these games.

I will have to make custom box art for most of my games, but I have some easy to fill in templates for Gameboy, GBA, and DS games.

Here's the color version of what this box art would look like.

I wanted a way to be able to store loose cartridges for my handheld systems, and old cassette cases are perfect. I just 3D printed an insert to hold the cartridge. This is a black and white test version of the cover to make sure everything is sized properly.

Overall, though, my experience has been great. I love the Assassin's Creed bits of the game. The story is really good (15 hours or so in). Yasuke and Naoe together are great and they've got some good supporting characters they meet with regularly.

I was doing a quest last night where the objective was 2.5 km away and I had it auto travel to the spot, but it added nearly 3.5 km to the trip so it was multiple minutes of letting the game essentially play itself with little to nothing on the way to break up the monotony.
