it IS that bad in british columbia, and our dollar doesn’t carry nearly as much buying power. $12k usd is nearly $17k here. $35k cad for a 30 year old truck is fucking insane! we also salt our roads in canada half the year, so frame rust is rampant, especially on vehicles over 20 years.

every 30 year-old clapped-out toyota with 400k goes for $15k+ here. i bought a gen 1 nissan frontier for less than half. regular cab would have been great, because it’s long with a crew cab and 6’ box. still beats a modern (monster) truck.
