Anna Zinkeisen and her sister Doris were artists born in Kilcreggan, Dunbartonshire. Anna moved to England, studying at the Harrow School of Art. Anna and Doris were commissioned by John Brown to paint murals on the Queen Mary. Anna is pictured painting panels in the ballroom

One of my fave associations with Old Kilpatrick Graveyard -a William Turner sketch, made in 1831 on a trip to Scotland. It's pencil on paper, so feint and indistinct but unmistakably OK parish church tower (top part of image)
