Deterrence becomes taboo and inaction starts to feel like maturity.

And yet, somehow, he gets away with it. How? Because the rules that govern normal human decency, let alone political leadership, don’t apply to him.
Every inappropriate tangent, every crude, self-absorbed confession, every public meltdown is priced in.

His supporters shrug it off as “authentic” or “funny,” party leaders stay silent because criticizing him is a political death sentence, and media outlets cover the spectacle like it’s a circus act instead of a crisis of competence.

We can debate whether it’s dementia, ego, or a lifelong disregard for boundaries but none of that changes the fact that this behavior is unfit, unbecoming, and utterly disgusting, and yet he gets away with it because the very structures meant to stop it have been dismantled or abandoned.

And yet, because there are no guardrails left no ethics board, no political consequences, no immune system for common sense it’s allowed to continue. Repetition has desensitized the public, turning what would once have been shocking into mere background noise.

The result: a system designed to enforce norms, decorum, and basic human respect has completely collapsed.
This isn’t just tasteless. It’s alarming. It’s a pattern of rambling, erratic behavior that raises very real questions about judgment, self-control, and suitability for leadership.
