Well, I had been planning on going to the LondonFurs Winter party on Saturday, but looking at the weather, the 70 mile drive each way and the chance of trees coming down at home while Jools has a fucked ankle tendon ....eeeehhhhhhhhhh.

Life's been kinda hectic, so, hiiiii, again!

Last night's rehearsal went really fucking well. One run through the set before we play the largest venue in my old home town on Tuesday and it was TIGHT.

We then spent 2+ hours jamming and got about 2/3 of a new song which is going in an Amon Amarth/Paradise Lost Icon era direction. 😀😀

Early morning today was writing another epic melodic solo and coming up with violin and cello parts for a mid-section on this ridiculous song.

Makes my brain do the happy chemicals.

Today I'm asking myself, ironically, why I've picked up another (mini) music project. A mate that used to be in our D&D group hit me up to help him write an epic song called Angel of War.

He wanted epic...its currently 9 mins long and I've not even busted out the violins and cellos yet. 🤣

I'm forever procrastinating about everything.

Bassist came over last night and fucking killed it laying down lines for two new songs.

Really nice getting to actually see Nate's fingerstyle technique how precisely and lightly he attacks the strings to get that fat assed tone.

Must admit, I love how much this app reminds me of the good ol' days on Le Blue Birdy app.

Now, if only I could find all my peeps again...

Huh, looks like we're getting a new Dept at work to shift one of the biggest ballaches of a product OFF my Dept.

Hmh.

Makes a nice change for work to move off us. 🤣

Now to wait and see if anyone asks to put training sessions in my diary...

I miss a lot of what I used to do like going to LondonFurs regularly.

That HAS to come back.

Just gotta weave it in with work, marriage, 2 bands, D&D, gaming, writing....uhmmm....yeah.

I miss people from LF. I miss fursuiting.

Why've I been avoiding social media? Probably because the toughest, most stressful decade of my life wrapped up all of its threads of shit just in time for the pandemic to hit.

So there's been a lot of healing, a lot of personal growth and a lot of putting my life back together.

Life's been fuckin weird this year. The struggle to come back out on social media has been severe, so I'm probably just going to stream of consciousness shit for a while to get over a three year social media avoidance spree.

Riiiiight, time to poke the thing and see if I can find peeps on here.
