August 77 was pivotal for me! I often think about it. It was the music, Elvis, Voyager being launched, Space Shuttle on the back of a 747. Everyone was space mad. Star Wars. The very streets stank of Alpha Centauri.

Thanks for putting this up. Our single (Metrotone "Kiss Me Awake") was released on 26 Nov, too late for the vote, and that was the only reason it didnt make it onto that year's Festive 50. That and not a lot of people liking it very much.
