The CSU Cultural and Resource Centers, including the Asian Pacific American Cultural Center, are now being sunsetted; staff being re-assigned. The Centers were a central heartbeat and lifeline on campus. Here's my faculty award from the APACC in 2020. I am mourning.💔 I'll be back to fight again. 5/5

Doing a family wheel throwing class. Pic 1 = things I made in week 1. Pic 2 = things I made this week. I’m starting to get the hang of it.

Just finished reading the first book in Mia Manansala’s Tita Rosie’s Kitchen series—Arsenic and Adobo. I didn’t know cozy mystery was a whole genre. Love it!!! The books each end with recipes, and are very Chicagoland!

Proud of my brother for producing this 3-part series of episodes for Outside/In at NH Public Radio. outsideinradio.org/what-remains

Ed/research institutions have literally 1000s of skeletons/human remains in their closets. None of these people (mostly Black & Native ppl) consented to any of this.

I’ve been in a deep “told you so!” vibe since Yale & Princeton’s admissions outcomes came out. AsianAm numbers declined, white numbers up at most elitist colleges, devastating declines in Black, Latino, & Indigenous students at many places, just as Blum wanted.

It’s like I wrote a book about this!

Such an interesting paper presentation by David Johnson (Partisanship, Information, Consumption, and Postsecondary Policy). Helps me think about pathways for communicating to influence higher Ed policy change.
