Being a slow political cartoonist is hard. I started this yesterday when Rachel Reeves was first in trouble, and by the time I finished it she had gotten out of trouble then been back in it.

Okay I concede, some photos do really make Keir Starmer and Angela Rayner look like husband and wife. It's mostly just the framing of the photographer though

Something people tell me when I draw British politicians is that there is always very intense emotion present. I'm not sure why, maybe because it's highly performative? Or maybe it's because I don't draw pictures that don't have an emotion present.

I think Labour does really well when they go on the offensive. Like this exchange on Twitter made me laugh so hard (at that Rupert guy). But I'm not British so I dunno how the culture actually handles it

I concede, in the last post Rayner did look like Reeves 😭 I actually appreciate the feedback as I'm working on another drawing and I can fix some mistakes. Here's another older drawing of Starmer and Rayner. I really like drawing when they mirror each other
