That’s a great point. I guess my own personal struggle with Bonds (Clemens and Rose too) is knowing that he/they should clearly be in the Hall but not being able to get past my own personal disgust at them as human beings.

Ive always loved Ratto’s curmudgeon opinions and find him a good writer, and maybe im misunderstanding it, but why is he bashing the Hall itself here. The BBWAA didn’t vote Bonds in. The Era committee didn’t vote Bonds in. Any maybe the domestic abuse played a bigger part than people want to admit.
