Aussie elections are always on a Saturday to make it easier. Plus we can vote early, vote by mail, and vote from some place else if we're not in our own electorate.

There's been public outcry & some investigation after the case of the woman who developed gangrene in restraints and had both arms amputated last year, so certainly some unwelcome attention for authorities there
