I was very much personally affected by those votes, and Reaganomics and the BS of all the republican ilk like her. But I read her book, watched the Jan 6th hearings, and know what she did despite her history. I believe people can learn and grow, even a Cheney.

She was shitty most of her life and has definitely had a huge shift in her views. People are SUPPOSED to change their views when presented with evidence that challenges their false beliefs. Are they not?

Came to say exactly that. Her fellow congress members agreed with her yet didn't vote in agreement. She shoulder the worst of it and suffered for it. I believe Jan 6th changed her in many ways, I hope she keeps challenging the politics she grew up with.

It seems that it took the Jan 6th insurrection to knock some sense into her. Even those absolutely monstrous beliefs she was able to put her country and the constitution 1st. That she has those views and went against her own party shows the battle she fought, no?
