In the end I feel like mitazaki likes self-flagellation in a kinky way, but Americans love self-flagellation in an unhealthy Christian repentance sort of way. This ad campaign is a weird meeting of the two. But it also brought us one of my favorite print ads of all time:

Happy (almost) 10 years, Undertale. A seminal work of interactive fiction. Fun fact: I have bought this game at least seven (7) separate times. Once for myself on steam, once for the Switch, Once (collector's edition) for PS4, three gifts for my friends, and one for a random guy I met on TF2.
