My son just built a drawing robot and it is incredibly hard to find simple, black and white SVGs of Pokemon. Could you help?

Not even close to enough money. Even if you took 99% of all billionaires' money, ($12T) it wouldn't be enough for one year. Global government expense is around $35T/year. If everyone spent like France, we'd need $168T. You can't get away from taxing the middle class to get there.

I mean, border and immigration systems are fucking broken in a lot of places, and the human consequences are awful. But if Germany doesn't track who immigrates with some kind of official status, how do they ensure tax receipts match expenditure?

How do we ensure that their tax money reaches the right countries? Eg Everyone moves to Sweden for their awesome education and healthcare, but the billionaires (who don't need the services) are paying 45% tax in the Carribbean. Or are tax collection and government budgets global?

Would love to hear your ideas about how a country can deliver and pay for social services without a way to recognize who is eligible (to help pay and to receive). AFAIK unfortunately social services depend on borders.

I got a copy of Doom II from a friend on 25ish floppies. It was the most exciting thing in my young life, but he gave them to me *at the beach.* That was the most high tension unrar of all time. I still remember the sound of the sand in disk 22.

I'm trying to let the wave wash over me and reserve judgment, until I can see what kind of ocean we've become together.

The ironic thing about Jesus is that he was a carpenter, named exactly the thing you shout when you hit your thumb with a hammer.

Unpleasant flashbacks to discovering the cup of apple juice in the fridge was not in fact apple juice.

Watching big budget movies lately, it's hard to root for the striking writers. GPT4 can definitely write better than the Star Wars sequel trilogy.

Also worthy shout out from that period to The State. Some of the same comedians, all of the same humor.

Nothing can beat the Mexican restaurant I discovered in Australia, where it seemed they were copying PICTURES of Mexican food. We had quesadillas with shaved carrots instead of cheese.

It breaks my brain a little to watch star trek tng, with so much natural language voice interaction with the computer. We can do that now, but the interface speed is so slow! I would kill myself in frustration. Imagine how Data felt, interacting with another computer. Over voice.

Oh shit I just realized I missed the opportunity to say "bach to bach" and I will never forgive myself.

It's one of my go-tos for testing audio equipment. Also, if you think it's great now, try listening back to back with his 1971 recording. Same great musician, really different takes on the music.

Given the huge price we pay for our algorithms environmentally, socially, politically, economically, etc, an outside observer could be forgiven for thinking humanity's main goal is to keep the algos running.
