Note not a single word about layoffs, and yet I'm seeing a buttload of people from Bioware saying they've been laid off.

What's a game that you were hyped for that disappointed you?
I was high off of Final Fantasy 7, preordered Final Fantasy 8 and was super hyped. Incredibly so.
Then I discovered it was The Grindening. The story was meh. I was disappointed.
Traded it in for Parasite Eve. No regerts.
