Earlier this year, ProPublica found that the sepsis rate in second-trimester pregnancy loss hospitalizations increased by more than 50% under Texas’ abortion ban.

Here’s how we did our analysis.

The thing about the Khalil case is that it's very very good that he's free now but you can't have it take three months between "the government kidnaps you off the street for no basis reason whatsoever" and "a judge makes them let you go." You just can't.

CLARIFICATION :

The Trevor Project's hotline will still be live. But basically this means LGBTQ people can no longer be connected to it through the US national 988 suicide prevention hotline.

They will need to be contacted DIRECTLY

So spread this around

They can be texted. They can be called.

When the medication you use is in mL, but the plunger you use is in units, and you didn't read the plunger before injecting 6 weeks' worth of basically a microdose (2.5 mg = .5 mL = 25 units). Yeah, no wonder it feels like my meds aren't working, omg. 🤦‍♀️

On my constant quest to support local businesses and eschew billionaires, I have gotten rid of my Amazon Prime. Ratcheting back to a pre-Internet 2.0 world is surprisingly easy in the most unexpected ways.

Springtime sun is the very best because it's warming in such a way where my body is still freezing, but I am deluded into thinking that I can dress like it's almost summer. I'm underdressed af for this weather almost chronically.

It feels impossible to think or talk about anything else other than what is happening right now. It's so frustrating because I am so bored with how draconian this all is and how everything feels like the end. I'm angry and bored because it's exactly what I expected, but I'm still pissed it's here.

I need some public health friends, please. Genuinely need to make fun of the rfk jr of it all as we see H1N5 rise and SARS-COV-2 continue. Because if I can't laugh about it with people, gurantee I am going to cry in a panicky sweat.

After nearly 20 years on facebook, I have deleted my account. I can't get over the sense of loss and relief I currently feel. Did anyone else feel like this too?

Very much in deep denial that anything big is happening on 20 Jan. Accomplishing this by working on embroidery projects and collages.

Radical sincerity, resting, and vulnerability with those we cherish and those who deserve to be cherished are what will pull us through the next while. That and a good right hook to a Nazi's jaw.

Am genuinely so awkward when it comes to first posts. Let me get this out of the way so I can get on with more interesting things. I want to learn and do more in public health, specifically in Maternal and Child Health. Just got rejected from a job for being overqualified. Damn, damn, damn.
