I love getting daytime otter video! I missed this guy by just 2 hours the other day.

Our resident male bobcat on ice! He tries 3 times to cross the stream but hears the ice cracking and steps back. He walks a little farther upstream and jumps over moving water in a small creek. Next he walks on solid ice and scent marks a log out in the middle of the river.

A winter wonderland…ravens, mink, coyote, beavers, red fox, and gray squirrel. This is the deepest snow we’ve had for a long time making it tough for wildlife but they are hardy survivalists.

I found this large fishing spider (Dolomedes vittatus) exposed out on the ice today. It’s been so cold I have no idea how he ended up where he was. Although I often see spiders on top the snow it’s usually when temperatures are closer to freezing not in the teens.
