There's 2 other chickens who will reluctantly let themselves get got, but you can't hold them for long. You have about 2 seconds of calm before they start flailing. But everyone else screams and runs, so I'm used to just going about my business.

Yoinked, in my mind, means to grab. I reached down and grabbed her :) slowly at first as I was initially doing it to shoo her away, but she just let herself get grabbed and I was so delighted! None of the other chickens in the coop LET you pick them up.

Thanks :) it was a magical moment! I was cleaning the chicken house and she kept coming up to me and digging for food on the ground between my legs so I just reached down and yoinked her. I yoinked her 2 or 3 more times after that because she was too cute and I couldn't resist. 🥰🥰🥰

Can't vouch for all the Victorian lake houses and coastal mansions since thats just Newport where all the rich people are. Though RI in its entirety IS smaller than some big cities and I'm always so surprised when I see where something in located bcuz it always feels like it's "just down the street"
