🧵 2- There’s a lot of organization around elections right now, but you’re right- unfortunately it’s going to take a lot for people to start protesting the human rights abuses at home and abroad. I think we’re seeing leaders step up, but you’re correct in saying we need to be like the other protests.

🧵 1- We’re protesting for sure, but media are dropping the ball (or are openly hostile to protests and spreading the idea that they’re paid protesters). Unfortunately we don’t have strong communities like Europe, which is a big part of why we’re not turning out the way Turkey is.
