Hey me too please.

I will follow you if you're kind and not overly nice.

You are clearly not.

I will still criticize artists regardless of their artistry when they do real harm. Like JK Rowling. :) And other horrible, actual right-wing people. If you're persuasive, you can actually make an impact. You can flip someone right-side up with your words. Only when they're willing to listen though.

I will always defend an artist over a critic-consumer.

Try to hear me out on that and get out of the cave you're living in. Go outside more. Talk to more trans people. We love Joyce Carol Oates. She's great. Maybe not all of us but she actually speaks up and has an impact. She cares. She's a writer and a good one at that.

I disagree with you that engaging is futile. I've had some very fruitful discussions and quite frankly it ALL STARTS WITH LISTENING. Everything. Half of the country voted for Trump. Why do you think that is? Do you think they're stupid? All of them? All the Latinos who voted against their interests?

You can withdraw if you like but you're not listening at all to what I'm saying. You keep trying to tell me what she said isn't allyship. Fine. It isn't then. I "agree" with you. It doesn't invalidate anything else she has said in favor of the Left and in disfavor of the Right.

I wish I were joking!

Made me sad for a long time but I got over it when I stopped being a people pleaser. Now I'm a living weapon.

How can you be an ally without influence, even if it's just local? How can you protect people? Being a good person means making an impact, standing up online and offline, being a person outside and meeting people, socializing and organizing. That's what we need more than ever.
