also some of it also comes down to the timing of the lines awkward voice direction so I don't wanna blame the actors but it does still make the early part of the game a little rough on replays

granted I do personally believe its just a handful that start out rough (Rex/Mòrag/Mythra), but some of them do absolutely hit out of the park from the start (Nia/Malos/Zeke/Vandham)

-they started with the main story going chapter to chapter, then did all of the heart-to-hearts / side quest dialogue last. End of game(like ch8 onward) and side content I think is where people were really getting a lock on their voices. And then Torna comes and Skye Bennett just crushes w/ Mythra

I *do* think XC2's gets better over time, I think there is a notable difference between the start and later chapters. For a lot of the VA's it was their first time doing voice overs and you can definitely tell their getting the hang of it over time. I believe Skye Bennett (pyra/mythra) also said-
