There are a few things that kill the fanfic magic for me. Like when they establish Aziraphale as unattractive, or "out of Crowley's league". Excuse me???? Are you talking about the same Aziraphale that Michal Sheen plays??? You're trying to convince me this man isn't fucking hot??? How dare you.

I don't have many arguments, so I'm just going with three important things. 1. Crowley mentioning the nightingales at the end of S2. 2. God as narrator in S1 and her absence in S2. And 3. Jimbriel reading the beginning of the Good Omens book while organizing the bookshop.

Plus, by Crowley’s reaction when Nina asks if they had been together long, he doesn’t seem sure about the nature of their relationship, or the kind of love they have for each other.

And perhaps it’s not that deep, because “A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square” was the song that was playing when they were toasting “to the world” after avoiding the apocalypse.
