I knew someone whose grandmother's house was "hanuted" because his aunt and his mother both dreamt about the same red-haired lady there. They got mad at me when I asked how they knew it was the same red haired lady. The whole family has read hair btw!

No one is all that safe when the state mandates religious rules, and that includes Israel. But in the US, that threat comes almost exclusively from Christians. Doesn't mean I won't vote for a Christian if they have the right policies and don't try to force their religion on me.

I don't know who that is and I don't care. Muslims are not an ideological monolith. I have Muslim friends, even queer Muslim friends. None of them have ever tried to kill me.

You're talking about a town where certain conservative Muslims aligned themselves with far right Republicans, I'm talking about a progressive Muslim who is farther left than the majority of the Democratic party. They are extraordinarily different situations.

Mamdani's policies are extremely positive for LGBTQ+ New Yorkers. To go around replying to multiple posts from months ago, suggesting that he wants us all dead is laughable. He is the most pro-LGBTQ+ candidate running. Be serious.
