Setting up a high contrast theme saves current and also saves your eyes. Here, I'm running 2x laptops, 705, SDR & charging a DMR handheld. Current draw, 0.83A I can also walk outside in the dark without being night blind.

The longer we stay on the js8call net, the easier it is to recognize stations we routinely have bidirectional comms with.
I run 10w & IC-705 24/7. Good prop or bad, the same stations come in, at the same time nearly every day.

Today a second 100ah, 1280wh LiFePO4 battery was added to the station. This brings solar storage up to 2560 watt-hours out of the planned 5120 watt-hours coming in early 2024.

80m Skyloop got smoked last week. Not sure if it was the solar storms or windstorms at the same time. ATM, I'm using a North facing EF sloper off the tower. It's deaf in EU but loves N. America & VK. I'll get up one of @n9sab_ OCF dipoles as soon as my corona-flu passes.

Not replacing HF, but augmenting the HF kit carried in our INCH packs.
At the moment, my kit includes the rig, LED, power bank, note pad, fire kit, computer, ear pro, ... The kit can be worn alongside a larger rucksack without interference.
