but, while on the phone chatting with them after sending them money, he sends a little more so that they could give it to his mother, who has refused to take any of his “dirty” money since the gifting began. these attempts are always futile, but —

flash forward to now, Fang did achieve his goal of becoming absolutely loaded. with his newfound riches and power as the Den’s second-in-command, he was able to start his own upcycled clothing store and get a nice ass place to live. but more importantly, he allocates some of it to his siblings —

huge part of their character, they joined the Den anyways, because he truly thought this was one of the only tickets for his family to be out of extreme poverty. the day he slowly walked back home to announce to his mother that he had been initiated, she disowned him then and there.
