I‘m very open to having a debate about this. I think it’s important to actually research the points your making and so on. But could we maybe continue in DMs bc the character limit on posts is kinda annoying.

Again I only lived in the US for like half a year but from my understanding neo liberalism led to worse education, distrust in the government and bad material conditions. Then someone like Trump is able to win by claiming to improve those conditions and using racism and xenophobia to cast blame.

no not at all. I‘m sorry for being so imprecise . I think that Americas issues are more systemic and the Democrats have a vested interest in those systems. For all the good the dems did they also created the conditions that led to the current political climate (i.e. I just don’t like neoliberals)

I‘m european so I can‘t comment on lived experiences but I would imagine controlling the House for the latter half of the last century should have allowed the dems to actually effect some change.

I feel like this problem is also semi-addressed by having coalitions but that is more of a house/senate type of solution.
