- And other extra material sometimes(usually) details the character so thoroughly that there are no more questions to be asked, nothing else to wonder. We often times don’t even know our own friends and family that well, it can be kinda off putting and stale. Not trying to knock fanfic though.

Knee jerk thought is that I wonder if it’s because movies, books and games force us to spend a relatively short amount of time with the characters. We know enough about them to care, empathize and analyze, but there can still be mystery and intrigue about parts of their character. But fanfic -

Nah, It’s just fun to think about sometimes. Back when I was a kid in the Toonami days kids who liked anime would signal using things like Naruto headbands and were still very much part of an outgroup. Different times.

My guess is the rise of digital tools and high def displays played a big hand in this. I also enjoy being loose with my inking now, but when I started I really stressed over perfection.

The power plant finally has its giant meltdown and mutates all the residents of Springfield… The camera slowly pans out to reveal a sign saying “Welcome to springfield, Road Island!” The citizens all vote to change the name to Quahog to distance the town from the tragedy.

The ditto game seems fun but I haven’t played a main series game since Sun. Sword and Shield decisions made me frustrated enough to cut ties and it never seemed to improve much. Sucks since I was obsessed as a kid.

Wish there could be separate physical versions but oh well. I already have the 3D All stars collection.
