Was there ever discussion at the time that the woman, who did seem genuinely dedicated to her sobriety, was addicted to kombucha? bc I think all kombucha has a little bit of alcohol

I only watched season 1 of SH (liked it, I just haven’t caught up). It felt like the SH cast already has a sense of being the cool people at the coolest club. Big fish, small town. There is no way anyone working at sur feels like that - though delusion is also key in the vpr world, so maybe they do

Not really. I know the original cast also came in as wannabe actors and musicians, but it was before reality show fame was easily monetized and transferable via social media following. The magic of early vpr really felt like their chaos (not production). I‘m not sure that can exist now, esp in LA

Thankfully, an easy trip on the train bc I love ny. I think I know neighborhoods in part bc i had to navigate it before iPhone times, so you actually had to have some sense of geography

Philly, but I have been to ny many, many times a year my whole life. When I was a kid, visiting friends in college when we were all broke, and now when there is a good mix of friends there half of whom are (ny) broke, and some of whom have birkin $, though I can’t picture anyone of them carrying one

Take comfort in the fact that at least some of those people probably don’t have a key to the park and it bothers them immensely every time they drive their uselessly large cars past it

Among that set I would guess real too, especially if it’s part of a whole wardrobe. They wouldn’t want one of the other moms to spot the fakes! Younger influencer types in soho/tribeca/west village? 50/50

I’d *love* to know the ratio of real to fakes on the streets of ny. the perfect place bc everyone, even the rich, walk. And if you want it, you get the attention of fellow pedestrians who would never get a close enough look to know that it’s a knockoff

I have not seen too many in the wild, but I can see how they are difficult to use/close. My bigger question is why people walk around with bags that scream “steal me” - though I know the bh women don’t walk much

The part about manta rays is definitely not true. They don’t have some magic filtration system that only lets plankton in, lol. RFK probably told her about the wonders of nature while hiking (they have considered using manta-like designs in human systems for microplastics) and one of them botched it

We (generation x-enial) all had a burst of laughter at thanksgiving to someone mentioning club Egypt. Presumably we are a bit younger than you, but diplo and low budget hit the house party scene shortly after
