Ember has a new favourite piece of trash she wants to play fetch with - which is to say she wants me to throw it for her so she can run after it, and then return to me without her trash, alerting me to the fact that she lost it and would like me to find it and throw it again.

We’re getting deeper into the final stages of palliative care for my most precious prince of a cat and I just hope we’re doing right by him day by day. I’m never gonna be ready to say goodbye but I don’t want that to mean we keep him past when it’s fair to him. Wish I could ask him what he wants.
