They can’t see why they are hated.
The point about alienation is a LOT of the people who couldn’t vote for labour couldn’t because they are the people labour are now actively hostile to, the people labour declared an intention to further marginalise. And that’s every party for lots of people now. So who do I vote for? No one.

My biggest objection is to phrasing it as “disappointing” when it doesn’t square with him being in informed and intelligent person, how could he not realise this is not only what he voted for, but before that he spent 5 years making sure the Labour Party was this?

Like, just rubbing in someone’s face that they are completely politically alienated while you are only partly politically alienated. Doesn’t do much but let you revel in your slightly higher social status, while also being wrong.

How do that make a difference? They are correct, this is what Starmer has always stood for and as they say the rest of the Labour Right. It’s the purpose and animus of the people who tried to over turn the labour rights control of labour in 2015.

It’s incredible that dedicated Stamerites still think the media is unreasonable with them.

Wait until you hear about Fleet Street.

Will you apologise to anyone who told you that this is why they found the “it’s nice isn’t it. The quiet” comment so naive and ignorant. You called them far right bots, or silly, but they were entirely correct and you were very wrong?

I don’t think actually being able to speak to people in poverty, is irrelevant to understanding politics. I think it’s vital actually. I’m trying to understand how you have such profound blind spots and I thought that could be it.

When was the last time you personally interacted with someone in povety, excluding service industry workers? Just out of curiosity.

Wouldn’t care to hazard a guess Steven. All I can see if the facts me before. Things like this tend to be ideological, but you could easily be pathological liar who enjoys the power trip of it. No real way for me to know.

I mean that’s the thing isn’t it. All the evidence was there. And has been for a long time. But people like Steve who are paid to study it, embarrassingly, seem to be constantly caught of guard by events which everyone else sees coming?

Also in 4 years that could be several thousand suicides so, those people specifically will not find out if things do get better. They will have died for it.

Disabled people who’ve been though this exact same thing before? They would probably know.
March 18, 2025 at 9:14 AM
It’s been around a decade of them being correct about basically everything though?
March 18, 2025 at 9:06 AM
Is it annoying to you that all the anon weirdos who can barely string a sentence together, have little formal education, and basically do this as a hobby were absolutely correct and you have been shown to have little productive insight?

I mean, you would *think* this would cause Discourse. What it instead prompted was months of televised roaring in fury at the unfairness and surely cheating that caused e.g. Ashworth to lose his seat.

Why would I “go after” someone who will never agree with me?
March 11, 2025 at 10:37 AM
I think it’s very reasonable that people feel annoyed that the exceptionally few people who have a platform, are able to essentially score points off of, what could be seen as feigned sympathy for the disabled, without any contrition over ignoring people in the past.

It’s ideology. You can’t see what you don’t want to.
