I’m working on my #TTRPG city/town scatter - this is what I’ve got so far, both painted and unpainted.

What would you say I still need?

Market stalls for sure! (Good STL recs appreciated)
An array of miniature items one might find in medieval city or town setting, such as crates, barrels, food baskets, a fountain, carts, signs. At least half are painted while the rest are grey.

When I built this desk I thought I was SO smart for putting my painting/crafting setup by the window. It’s the most space on the desk and it gets a ton of natural light.

I should’ve anticipated my cat also digging the hell out of that space, regardless of whether I’m in the middle of using it.

Gonna sit on these for a day or so, but I think the demo initiative trackers are all done!

Assuming I don’t want to change anything up, I just have to varnish them and take some nice pictures, and then people can start downloading the 3D print files… for free as always!

This was about how far I got - The plan is to do two GM ones, a player one, and one unpainted.

Naturally I’ll do more in future but for now just these to get the general idea across so people can get their hands on the 3D print files sooner. I can’t wait to see how other people paint theirs up.

Finished painting this last batch of hagglethorn hollow 3D printed buildings a while ago but as I get to the bigger buildings I have been having a harder time taking nice pictures of them 🥲

I was originally going to do slate roof tiles instead of clay, because I heckin love the look of slate roofs, but I wasn’t sure it would look good with this style… but maybe it would!
3D printed buildings for TTRPG play in the process of painted. Between two smaller dry brushed stone and wood buildings is a 4-5 story stone building with roof tiles primed with black, reminiscent of slate.

Sadly our game got cancelled this weekend but that means I haven’t had to rush as much to get these done in time.

Also, pay no attention to the atrocious wallpaper and mismatched shelves. My craft room is a hot mess of “that’ll have to do”.

These were printed at 0.12 layer heights, spray primed black, and painted w cheap craft paint.

First hagglethorn hollow building(s) painted!!

Did the smallest first to get a feel for the paint scheme. I think I’m close, just needs a few tweaks here & there. Plus some foliage!

Went for two bases and two of each roof since that felt like a lot of playable flexibility.

Final pieces are printed and a video is all shot for the modular #TTRPG dice tower! Just gotta find time to get the download page all set up ^^

Then again… what do you all think? Birds chirping too much? Ending too sloppy? It’s surprisingly hard to get actual quiet in this house.

Test prints are all done!*

Nailed the interlocking levels on the first try 🤘 The gate… took 5 iterations before I was happy with it 😅

*Technically I still need to see how well the dice roll between dice tower’s modular levels, but I’ll have to #3Dprint full pieces for that (and I’m optimistic).

The remodel for this modular #TTRPG dice tower #3Dprint is done! Well... as long as the test prints go ok...

I also decided to add an optional drawbridge dice catcher that can print separately which is what I'm most curious about in the test prints.

The last test print is good! Ahh bed slingers, sometimes you just gotta switch the direction your print is facing.

Now I just have to paint one up for the model page, snap some pics, and this bad boi will be available for download ^^

Actually, I’m pretty sure they *are* done and those layer defects can be fixed by changing the model’s direction on the print bed and shifting the z-seam. One more test print (hopefully)! In white tho, because I’m out of gray :(

Tolerances from the overnight print are close BUT since i missed the competition I think I’m just going to pivot and make this a completely 3D printable modular dice tower instead of using empty BBL spools that most people 3D printing probably don’t even have.
