Yes..: When Bowie was denied the rights to adapt George Orwell's "1984" into a musical, he repurposed his vision into "Diamond Dogs,” but you can still hear the inspiration from Orwell's themes and William S. Burroughs' works.

"Diamond Dogs" definitely receives less mainstream attention. Its darker, more experimental nature may have initially alienated some listeners. I love it! The lyrics could be written today

Kate Bush didn't just write songs, she wove entire worlds. It's the sheer, unbridled theatricality of her vision, the way she transforms music into a spectacle. Its magical.

Not a dud on it - I find myself going back this album over and over. Its a classic
