Dan Heng was quiet now, thoughtful as he stated at the open door.

"That our way out?" He flicked his tail towards that door. It seemed too easy, but after everything he went through with being captured... Maybe his luck was on the up this time.

"Very well, let's keep going..."

Dan Heng's eyes narrowed briefly, a flash of suspicion crossing his features.

But, they had no reason to fight right now. And he doubted Blade would want to fight too, lest they catch the attention of anyone they didn't want to see.

So, he released a soft huff, glancing back to the corridor.

These halls were a lot cleaner and not as wrecked as the lower levels, but the silence that hung over these halls made Dan Heng tense. Too quiet.

Everything has thankfully been clear, much to Dan Heng's relief. But until they were out of this place, they wouldn't be completely sure so Dan Heng wasn't going to stop his guard just yet.

"Alright. Let's get going."

It was quiet for now, and as Blade finished his task, Dan Heng stepped out of the room and back into the corridor.

"Right," He nodded, glancing back at Blade. "Which way is
out?"

He grimaced briefly at the sudden, piercing blue light from the screens, but he got used to it quickly enough as he kept guard in the doorway, holding onto Cloud-Piercer.

Dan Heng looked away from the screens as he heard Blade's scoff, watching him enter the room to approach the screens.

He lingered in the doorway, deciding not to interfere in whatever Blade was doing unless he was asked to. Instead, he remained at the door, keeping an eye on the corridors, just in-

When they passed through the heavy door into the control room, he glanced at all the screens.

Dan Heng took the chance to glance around as they walked through the halls, though he remained close to Blade so he didn't get left behind.

He looked up at the ruined cameras hanging from the walls, the trail of blood and gore that was left with the bodies they passed by. Damn, Blade was thorough-

Dan Heng checked his phone only briefly, but put it away after setting it on silent. There was less chance of getting themselves caught that way, even if it meant freaking out his comrades later.

He followed after Blade quietly, making sure to keep his wits about him as they approached the stairs.

When Blade glanced at Cloud-Piercer, he looked at the spear, briefly flexing his fingers over it, before glancing back towards where they had to go.

"Yeah, and without a scratch."

That was at least one small win despite everything else he'd been through down here.
