Jayce Giopara is inclined on a medical bed with two IV lines going into his right arm. He has had his torso vivisected and kept conscious on request. Sasha grabs both of Caz’s upper arms and yells, “Where the fuck did you go?!” He has tears in his eyes. Caz looks unimpressed and unfazed by Sasha’s yelling, just saying “Not your business, Sasha.” Sasha crouched to press his forehead against Caz’s chest after yelling at him, his hand still fisted in Caz’s jacket. He says to Caz, “I thought they hurt you; made you disappear….” Caz looks shocked, his eyes wide and mouth hanging open, at the admission from Sasha. He has his hand clenched firmly on the handle of his cane but doesn’t pull away. Sasha has stood, tears in his eyes and eyebrows tense. He says to Caz, “I can’t lose you yet, Caz.” Caz puts his free hand against Sasha’s cheek, cradling under his jaw. He looks up at his partner with a sad expression. And responds, “I know. I’m sorry.”
