If there was one draw back to being Toni, it was the unwanted attention she didn’t know how much longer she can bear it.

📲: no problem, I wouldn’t mind paying you a visit. Do you have a fire escape I could uhhh park…

The woman would more than likely fly in.

The woman answered Toni’s phone with a small smirk, everything’s going according to plan.

📲: “I would love to meet up, I’ve got nothing lined up today so if you’d me to meet you somewhere I certainly can.”

The woman stood up, still offering what she thought was the iconic stark flirty smile.

“Don’t keep me waiting too long, but don’t think you’ll get the inside scoop so easily…”

the woman spoke with a smirk, it was clear what Megan was trying to do. Toni wouldn’t give up such information->

She wanted her to know there was no need to be nervous.

“I can send a car for you later when you’re ready or you can travel in style….”

she smirked a bit.

“If you manage to get a hold Jamie, tell her I said….hello.”

She offered a smile but a chuckle seeing such a shy smile.

“I’d love that, I can show you around a bit while we talk. I promise I don’t bite….much.”

She said in a playful manner hoping to ease the girl’s mind->

hand she wrote down her personal number onto a napkin then slid it over to Megan.

“My personal number, incase you need a iron hand or something like that. Heck you can use it for interview scheduling. But I also wouldn’t mind just having your company.”

“It’s not the worse thing that’s happened….”

Toni was probably looking a little rough around the edges, but she spoke the truth the once avenger has been through plenty.

“I’d love to keep in contact with you Megan, here let me borrow a pen…”

She didn’t realize how close she leaned in to whisper, not that she would’ve minded but she nodded in understanding.

She couldn’t help but chuckle when she noticed the cute batting of her eye lashes, smiling she nodded.

“I can tell you’re holding back the juicier questions, listen don’t hold back with me…I can take it..”

She threw in a suggestive tone but a playful wink for that last bit. Toni—>

“Getting my company back in line is certainly on the list. God that might be a legal nightmare, I’ll have to make a call or two to see if I can get a decent lawyer if I need it. But once I’m settled I’ll set up shop in my armory and get back to work.”

She may have just met her but Toni was a pretty decent judge of character, if Jamie trusted her then she would. But Toni likely had a list of things she needed to do, getting her company back in order was—>

she went back to eating her burger, not sure if friend was accurate. They felt like more at one point but not where Toni wanted it…

She cleared her throat to try and sound more professional and less like a love struck puppy.

“I got a hold of myself, started walking over to her but funny enough she was heading my way anyway. We introduced ourselves and the rest of the night was her interviewing me with a dash of small—>

Toni smiled a bit reminiscing about the time she first met her, once they both had their food Toni began eating and then took the time to answer the question.

“We met at a party, I was falling into old habits a few drinks in and then I saw her…”

Cheered her up. Toni looked at Megan, realizing she hadn’t let the poor girl order.

“Order whatever you’d like, it’s on me.”

It was less of a question more of a statement, she leaned against the counter and waited.
