The SS Maheno on K’gari is one of those places that never quite feels real. A shipwreck stranded on a beach that refuses to let go of its stories.

The White Station Healing Circle isn’t just stones on the ground; it’s a space created to bring people together, to think, to heal, to watch the sun cross the sky. Out here, in the Queensland outback, it felt like a good place to pause.

We didn’t expect to find stone heads staring out over the Southern Ocean, but here they are. The Elliston Sculpture Trail features incredible sculptures like this: simple, coastal, and a little bit surreal.

Australia’s famous places make the postcards. The small towns make the memories. Uluru was everything we hoped for, and the road there was just as special.
