USWNT looked sloppy (OMG the passing!!) but energetic against Chili. Croix Bethune makes a huge difference with her off the ball movement and being able to play in tight spaces through the center. It looked a lot different than all the forwards hugging the back line. Love the cellys. 🎉

Anybody know how early England might show up to Swope in advance of the World Cup? I already got kicked out for a Ted Lasso taping so just trying to plan ahead for this one. 🤪

I know everybody’s high on the USWNT game yesterday but that first half didn’t look good. A better team would’ve capitalized on those slow, sometimes off bounce passes. The creativity was nonexistent until the second.

If you were an NWSL coach:

- spend millions on an impact player that can change the game/season in an instant but isn’t durable so likely misses lots of playing time?

Or

- develop multiple players that aren’t as impactful or talented but much more durable allowing for a deeper bench?

DiBernardo, Cooper, Chawinga not playing. Mace & Bia gone. Debinha (1 of my favs) & Sentnor good but don’t fit everywhere. Ball and Robinson iffy at times. Lots of very young.

Last season gave me the hottest and coldest game I’ve attended thus far. Excited to see what weather I’ll be experiencing this year at CPKC. ⚽️🩵

I never wanted to be a coach,
but there were signs:

– Always team captain
– Chronic over-explainer
– Fan-girled over Bruce Arena when he wasn’t even coaching
– Completely lost it when Andonovski said hi to me like he was T Swift
– Only thing I kept from my grandma was the whistle she coached with

I haven’t been keeping track but the KC Current sure have been letting go of a lot of players.

I still get annoyed thinking that Chris Armas is the new KC Current coach. Like couldn’t we find someone that has coached women? Or has a better record? I’d be up for giving Yolanda Thomas a shot.
