According to SCMP and other sources, the HKFA will announce the sacking of Ashley Westwood soon. Several local and previous coaches are in the mix for an interim appointment until the end of the Asian Cup campaign, while a new permanent head coach hiring process is underway.

Yip Ka-yu will return to Rangers over 5 years after his last pro appearance. The former Yuen Long, Rangers and Lee Man keeper was convicted of rape in 2021 but maintained his innocence. In June, he was acquitted by the Court of Appeals.

Rangers have signed Kim Min-gyu from Indonesian club Semen Padang. Kim made 44 appearances over two seasons for the club, and helped them to promote to Liga 1 in 2024. He was also briefly teammates with ex-Kitchee player Charlie Scott last season. #hkfootball
