Also people have watered down the words "abuse" the same way they've watered down "gaslighting". Not all harm is abuse, and something isn't harmful just because an individual doesn't particularly like it. Watering it down makes it so much fucking harder for abuse survivors to be taken seriously

Idk what this is about, but this is an evergreen tweet. Too many people have a goddamn hero complex around "rescuing" victims of abuse. They care more about looking like the protagonist than they do about how their actions impact the victims most directly affected by the abuse
