I knew of the first 45, What She’s Done To Your Mind, but couldn’t find it in Texas. Got Third Rail and wore it out. Bangles IRS EP, 3 O’Clock EP, True West Lucifer Sam 45 & EP, Long Ryders 1st EP — 1983 was a great year!

As a musicIan I’m absolutely trapped by a world with FB & Instagram at its center with no realistic alternative. You have 80k “following” you, but no way to let those particular people know about gigs, news, etc. than Zuck’s little experiment in control. Can the MySpace model take off again, please?

A little late here but first year in college I was told my suddenly crewcut-short hair had ruined Christmas. I thought they’d be thrilled that I didn’t have ‘long hair’. Mom apparently had just watched a news segment titled “Is You Son or Daughter Turning Into A Punk Rocker?”
